Refund Policy

We want you to feel confident upgrading Eduzuma. This policy explains our 3-day money-back guarantee, what's covered, and how refunds work with Paddle - our secure payment partner.

Last updated: 11 July 2026

In plain English: try Eduzuma on our free plan first. If you upgrade and it's not right within 3 days, email us for a full refund - as long as you haven't heavily used paid AI credits (over 10,000 words). No guilt trips, no hoops.

1. Our 3-day money-back guarantee

If you purchase a paid Eduzuma plan - Basic, Pro, or School & Educator - you may request a full refund within 3 calendar days of your initial purchase date. This applies to your first charge on that plan (monthly or yearly).

We offer this because educators should never feel locked into software that doesn't fit their classroom. Most customers know within a day or two whether Eduzuma saves them time - and we'd rather earn your trust than debate an invoice.

2. Fair-use condition (10,000 AI words)

Refunds are designed for good-faith trials, not for consuming a large volume of paid AI generation and then cancelling. If you use more than 10,000 AI words from your paid plan within the 3-day refund window, the purchase is considered fully utilised and is not eligible for a refund.

This limit is generous - enough to test multiple tools, generate several worksheet sets, and see real value - while keeping the policy fair for everyone. Word usage is measured from your account's AI transaction history.

What counts toward the 10,000-word limit?

  • AI-assisted worksheet generation across any tool (word search, reading passages, quizzes, poems, etc.).
  • Words deducted from your plan balance or shared school pool during the 3-day window.
  • Booster-pack words used after purchase (see booster section below).

What does not affect eligibility?

  • Downloading standard (non-AI) PDF worksheets - unlimited on paid plans.
  • Exploring tools, editing content manually, or saving favourites.
  • Free-plan words used before upgrading.

3. What's eligible for a refund

  • First-time subscription on Basic, Pro, or School within 3 days and under the 10,000-word threshold.
  • Accidental duplicate charges - we'll refund duplicates immediately, no questions asked.
  • Technical issues that prevented meaningful use of the Service, verified by our support team.

4. What's not eligible

  • Requests made after 3 calendar days from the purchase date.
  • Accounts that used more than 10,000 AI words within the refund window.
  • Renewal charges - subscriptions renew automatically; cancel before your next billing date to avoid future charges. Renewals are non-refundable except where required by law.
  • Booster packs (Value Boost / Mega Boost) once AI words from the pack have been consumed.
  • Partial-month refunds for voluntary mid-cycle cancellation (access continues until period end).

5. Booster packs

One-time Value Boost (300,000 words) and Mega Boost (650,000 words) purchases follow the same 3-day window. If you have not used any booster words, we will refund the full amount. If booster words were used, the pack is non-refundable - but unused words remain on your account permanently.

6. How to request a refund

  1. Email hello@eduzuma.app from the address linked to your Eduzuma account.
  2. Include your account email, plan name, purchase date, and a brief note (optional - "not the right fit" is enough).
  3. We review eligibility and respond within 1-2 business days.
  4. Approved refunds are processed through Paddle to your original payment method. Banks typically show the credit within 5-10 business days.

You can also cancel future renewals anytime from My Account - no refund needed for charges that haven't happened yet.

7. Paddle & payment processing

Eduzuma uses Paddle.com as our merchant of record. Paddle handles payment processing, tax, invoices, and refund transactions on our behalf. Your card statement may show "Paddle" or "Paddle.net". For payment receipt questions, check the email Paddle sends after checkout.

8. School & team plans

School plans cover multiple teacher seats and a shared AI word pool. Refund requests for School plans follow the same 3-day / 10,000-word rules, measured across the team pool during the window. For district-wide agreements or custom contracts, contact schools@eduzuma.app.

9. Tips before you upgrade

Not sure yet? Here's how most educators decide:

  • Start on the free plan - 5,000 lifetime AI words and all standard tools, one trial per network.
  • Generate a few worksheets with AI, download PDFs, and test print quality before paying.
  • Compare plans on our pricing page - Basic is great for individual teachers; Pro for heavy publishers; School for teams.
